GPSC Recruitment 2023: Latest News, Syllabus, Eligibility, Salary & Vacancies

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC), established in 1960, is constitutionally empowered to oversee the recruitment process for various administrative and civil service positions within the Indian state of Gujarat. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that qualified individuals are selected for government roles based on their knowledge, skills, and performance in the examination process. The recruitment process typically involves several phases, beginning with a preliminary examination. This preliminary exam serves as a screening test and consists of objective-style questions designed to assess candidates’ basic knowledge and aptitude. Those who pass the preliminary examination are then eligible to appear for the main descriptive examination.

Following the main examination, successful candidates may be called for a personal interview, which further evaluates their suitability for the desired positions. Throughout the recruitment cycle, the GPSC publishes notices and exam dates for various positions annually, providing candidates with essential information and ensuring transparency in the selection process.

The latest examination schedules can be accessed through the official website of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC), as well as through media announcements and various internet news sources. It’s important to note that exam dates may vary depending on the specific positions and recruitment cycles. The GPSC, through its Online Job Application System (OJAS), conducts examinations for a wide range of occupations, encompassing civil service, police service, administrative service, engineering service, medical service, and other specialized roles. Some of the positions for which exams are held include Deputy Collectors, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Mamlatdars, Taluka Development Officers, Chief Officers, Medical Officers, Assistant Engineers, and numerous other roles.
